Made was commissioned to build the world’s first fastball - throwing car for the first ever Major League Baseball game at the Bristol Motor Speedway for Chevrolet and MLB. We took a retired racecar and designed and engineered a system that allowed us to mount a regulation pitching machine to the car. We designed an automatic ball feeder with a hopper that fed balls into the machine and launched them at 100 mph. The slinger also featured C02 cannons and an electronics package with audio for the event. The cars was brought to ST John’s University for filming and to demonstrate its fastball capabilities, then sent to Tennessee for the official event.
